Platinum Motorcars is a corporate luxury rental and concierge service in Dallas, Texas. Their motorclub is made up of upscale signature-series vehicles that offer a degree of sophistication beyond what's normally found in a rental.
Benny Black, the owner of Platinum Motorcars, approached me seeking a brand revitalization. He expressed concerns that his current brand did not adequately reflect the prestige of his luxury car collection. My objective was to rejuvenate the brand while preserving the essence of the existing logo.
This case study details my strategy for revamping their color scheme, typography, packaging, and digital materials.
Role: Brand Strategist, Designer
Research: We delved into luxury car design, identifying sleek lines, metallic finishes, and understated elegance as defining characteristics.
Rebranding Strategy: I curated a new color palette inspired by luxury automotive hues, choosing navy blue, cobalt blue, and polished silver for their visual appeal and association with prestige.
Font Selection: I opted for Crimson Text Roman and Open Sans fonts for their complementary pairing, readability, and timeless elegance, aligning with the luxury brand's aesthetic.
Website Design: Leveraging the new color palette, I crafted a one-page website infused with sophisticated luxury visuals, showcasing all the motor club's services. The navigation, conveniently positioned at the top left, ensures seamless access to any section. A well-placed form at the bottom enhances user experience, embodying good website design principles.
Tri-fold Brochure and Rack Cards: As part of the rebranding effort, we created a tri-fold rack card brochure with inserts, offering a tangible takeaway for print distribution.
